System Administrator

Humans in the Loop is an award-winning social enterprise providing conflict-affected and displaced people with remote digital work and training in the field of data annotation for AI. We function as a hybrid between a B2B outsourcing company and a non-profit foundation. Through our company, we serve leading computer vision and AI companies around the world by preparing their training data and monitoring their AI systems in real-time. We work in several verticals, including medical imagery, geospatial technologies, automotive AI, smart retail applications, agriTech, and smart industry and manufacturing. This helps to ensure more robust, trustworthy, and representative AI. We partner with NGOs on the ground in the Middle East in order to provide these types of work to conflict-affected and displaced communities in order to support them in their livelihoods. We are currently looking for a System Administrator to help us with managing the IT infrastructure of the company. This will include managing business systems, endpoint devices, user authentication, data security, and technical support. The ideal candidate will be service-oriented with excellent knowledge of computer systems and technologies.
Location:
Hybrid, based in Sofia. Should be able to come to our office at 97 Knyaz Boris I, Sofia, whenever it is necessary

Line Management:
The System Administrator will report to the CTO of the company and will work closely with the whole internal team.
Responsibilities
- Manage, protect, and monitor business systems, office hardware, and endpoint devices
- Manage the access of users to business resources
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues
- Ensure the security and replication of data
- Implement data security and regulatory compliance policies
- Manage the procurement of external IT products and services
- Provide general technical support to team members
- Provide technical assistance for client onboarding, project scoping, API integration, technical support, and troubleshooting
- Provide technical support to the Operations team, including setting up projects, data pre-and post-processing, and technical issue troubleshooting
Requirements:
Essential:
- 2 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role
- General knowledge of computer systems and technologies
- Experience with Google Workspace / G-Suite
- Experience with Windows systems
- Knowledge of authentication and single sign-on technologies
- Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
- Networking - general knowledge, VPN, firewalls
- Service-oriented person
- Excellent communication skills in both English & Bulgarian
- Based in Sofia, Bulgaria

Basic Graphic Design Teacher
About the Position:
We are currently looking for a Basic Graphic Design teacher for our next HITL Stars and HITL Business Stars in Sofia, Bulgaria. The Graphic Design teacher will be responsible to effectively deliver a program, designed to teach participants to create their own logo and marketing materials and to use them for developing their own online business and to present and teach in an comprehensible way the basis of Adobe Illustrator and the Creative Cloud. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the field of graphic design, good understanding of free tools for design (Canva, etc) and the Creative Cloud (especially Illustrator) and with experience in planning and reporting activities, socially oriented and comitted to the values of Humans in the Loop.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare the weekly curriculum of the course, considering the learning objectives set by HITL and the skill level and needs of the participants.
- Deliver interactive and engaging training as per the agreed curriculum (in person or online when necessary)
- Prepare slides for each training session as well as additional materials, tests and homework assignments. The slides and all materials are to be shared with HITL and to be made available for future use.
- Upload all training resources and assessments onto HITL’s training platform and encourage participants to use and engage with the platform.
- Conduct weekly training sessions and use a spreadsheet provided by HITL for taking attendance for each session, noting down the grades on assignments and tests, and keeping notes of the material covered in each class.
- Monitor attendance and performance of all training participants, including liaising with the Training Coordinator about any remedial or disciplinary action.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English language
- At least 2 years of experience in working with Wordpress.
- Any relevant qualification in teaching design/digital skills/ online branding or other subjects.
- Socially oriented and committed to the values of Humans in the Loop.
- Good computer skills and confidence in using online content management and video conferencing.
- Salary: 800 BGN Gross for the entire course
- Hours: 6 hours teaching per week for 4 weeks, schedule to be agreed, plus preparation of lessons and teaching materials and meetings with colleagues and students (opportunity for reappointing for the next series of courses).
- Line management: Teachers will report to the Training Coordinator and work very closely with the rest of the teachers.
Wordpress Teacher
About the Position:
We are currently looking for a Wordpress Teacher for our next HITL Stars and HITL Business Stars in Sofia, Bulgaria. The Wordpress teacher will be responsible to effectively deliver a program, designed to teach participants how to develop their own website while using WordPress and how to maintain content, images, videos. The program includes the following modules: Setting up a Worpress site, Managing content in Wordpress and Search engine optimization for Wordpress. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the field of developing Wordpress sites, with experience in planning and reporting activities, socially oriented and comitted to the values of Humans in the Loop.

Solutions manager
About the Position:
We are currently looking for a Solutions Manager to help us design and implement data annotation solutions throughout the sales cycle. This will include supporting the sales team to understand client requirements, building data workflows and pipelines using a variety of technical tools, as well as assisting in project delivery and data formatting. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the AI industry and/or data processing work, as well as some experience in solutions design.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with existing and prospective customers to deeply understand their proposed use cases and propose solutions based on HITL's core offerings, technology, and workforce capability
- Lead technical sales consultations and project implementation, including POC setup, workflow design, data transfer, tool customization, and output formatting
- Create detailed instructions for Project Managers and annotation teams and guide their understanding of the project at hand, including troubleshooting any technical issues
- Provide consultative proposals and findings to clients in an organized and accessible manner, including data and quality analysis and enhancements of existing workflows
- Monitor the key trends in the market and the ecosystem and provide actionable insights on clients' needs for the purposes of service improvement
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated relevant experience, especially in technical sales, solutions design, or a similar customer-facing technical role
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python and experience developing scripts for data processing
- Strong communication skills, creativity and a self-starter attitude
- University degree in a relevant field
