Roia Foundation
Since 2019 we are partnering with the Roia Foundation to bring online remote job opportunities to conflict-affected people in Turkey and Syria. In Turkey, the Foundation works with asylum-seekers, including people with disabilities and medical doctors. In Syria, annotators come from conflict-affected areas such as Aleppo, Raqqa, and Idlib.
Humans in the Loop is partnering with Roia to support the first Annotation Hub in Syria within the Foundation’s center in Azaz, Aleppo. So far, 183 people have worked on HITL projects, 82 of whom are women.
BrightPoint
In 2021 we led a successful pilot and we welcomed aboard our newest partner: BrightPoint. They are an entrepreneurial ecosystem builder based in Kabul with more than 6 years of direct contribution towards a thriving ecosystem for entrepreneurs in Afghanistan.
Together with them, we are working to bring online remote job opportunities to Afghan youth. More than 80% of workers are females, aged between 18 to 25. Many of them are from the rural areas of the country, mostly displaced from conflict zones as Ghazni, Panjshir, Maidan Wardak, Parwan, Herat, and Farah.
Anera
Anera is a US-based international development organization established in 1968, dedicated to advancing the well-being of vulnerable communities and refugees in Lebanon, Palestine and Jordan. Through comprehensive humanitarian aid and sustainable development programs, Anera addresses critical needs in health, education, and economic development. Unaffiliated with any political or religious entities, Anera adeptly navigates complex regional challenges to deliver impactful support. In 2023 alone, Anera mobilized over $171 million to further its mission. As one of our newest partners, we are thankful for being able to support our beneficiaries locally together and for helping vulnerable communities in Lebanon, without regard to religion or national origin.
Learning Lions
Learning Lions is a digital empowerment program offering opportunities to learn, earn, and innovate for young adults in rural Kenya, starting in Turkana County. With an ICT model campus built in 2020, their vision is to expand digital centers to other marginalized communities, proving that success in remote areas is possible anywhere.

Our commitments
- We work with established grassroots NGOs which are led by local leaders who are committed to the wellbeing of their communities
- All of our programs are free of charge for participants, including our trainings, career counselling, and access to paid work
- Our local partners perform the due diligence necessary to vet participants for our paid work and trainings programs
- We have an anti-money laundering and anti-bribery policy which regulates how we work with local organizations
- We have a Beneficiary Advisory Board with representatives from each country which ensures that our strategic objectives are in line with the community's priorities and needs
